Caught Being Kind:“ I would like to bring to your attention a student who was caught being kind. This student saw me struggling with my many bags this morning and when she saw that I had to place some down in the hallway, before I could reach my room, she quickly came and offered her help. Hope Mercier was my angel this morning and I truly appreciate her thoughtfulness, kindness, and willingness to help me.”
“At lunch, Keith Wszolek, picked up the floor around his table for two of his friends.”
“Andres Mata has been extremely helpful and kind today. He came in and passed out all of the research folders without me asking. He then offered to pass out the computers to all of the students. He has been a great participator and is really showing some improvement and helped with the delivery for carnation boxes!”

Boys B Basketball ChampionsOur team went 10-5 overall. We were the only team in Tri-County to get past the quarterfinals with only 6 and 7th graders on our team. We beat several teams that had as many as 5 8th graders on their teams. Winning the City Championship was a huge honor for us as many of our athletes play on AAU teams with players from other schools as well as meeting them around the city. Congratulations to all of our winter athletes on great season!
Fashion ChallengeMr. Perez’s WINN class has been working on social emotional goals. Last week we worked on personal values and their worth to the community around us. While this week we worked on self-esteem. Three teams were given 4 rolls of toilet paper to create the best bit of fashion they could. Mrs. Hoberman and Mrs. Gelinas were judges of the event, given points for Style, Uniqueness and Overall Fun. The fashion show was a conclusion to the week of lessons and handouts that applied the principles of self-esteem. Team Jacob and Angalise won the First Annual Mr.P Fashion Throwdown.
