Color Out

posted Oct 30, 2017, 6:05 AM by Judy Sullivan

A few of our students have come up with the idea of having a Color Out, instead of a Pink Out like the high school.  The students wanted to support all cancers, have some fun, and raise money for cancer research.

On Tuesday, October 31st, Halloween, and Friday, November 3rd, student can wear their team color that goes with your teams type of cancer. As well, their will be a change war going on during lunch for the entire week.  There will be a 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bucket for students to put their change into to collect money for the American Red Cross.  The grade level that raises the most money will get PBIS points for the Assembly board.

The team colors are:
UNH: Kidney Cancer- GREEN
Uconn: Colon Caner- BLUE
Northeastern- Multiple Myeloma- RED
Rutgers:Melanoma- BLACK
NYU: Pancreatic Cancer- PURPLE
West Point: Children Cancer- YELLOW/GOLD
Clemson: Brain Cancer- GRAY
Duke: Lung Cancer- WHITE
UNC: Leukemia- ORANGE
UA Teachers/Office/Staff- Breast Cancer- PINK
Plus, everyone will get a Lavender ribbon to wear on Tuesday or the rest of the week, this represents all cancers and your support for all types of cancers.

Thank you for your help and support.

Please remember that there is no stopping or parking across the street from our school.  Please encourage students to cross the street in the designated crosswalks.
Please drop off and pick up students on the east side of Jewett Street. That is the side where our school is located. Please understand that student safety is a top priority. All entrances are marked and restricted to staff and bus traffic.  Help us provide a safe environment for your child and all of students and staff!
