Class of 2022 Open House At Central HS

Due to the cancellation of school on on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, Central High School has rescheduled its Class of 2022 Open House for Thursday, March 15, 2018.  The schedule will be the following:

6-6:30 - Organizations will be in the cafe for students and parents to explore.

6:30-6:45 - Principal welcoming and introductions in McAllaster Hall located in the Professional Arts building.  

6:45-8:30 - Parents and students meet in the Library with Teachers, Guidance Counselors and representatives from our Special Education Programs.

We look forward to seeing all incoming Freshmen and their families that night.

  • New Flags at Southside The VFW and American Legion Sweeney Post joined our PSG, staff and admin volunteers on Saturday, March 3rd to install new flags throughout our school.  We are most grateful for their generous donation.  Thank you!

  • UNH STEM Discovery Lab Mr. Lamson attended the STEM Discovery Lab this past summer sponsored by the University of New Hampshire at Manchester where teachers designed and built Mousetrap powered cars.  The workshop included teacher training to bring concepts into the classroom where students could understand engineering and design. This  program was introduced to 7th and 8th graders this past September and continues as we progress into Quarter 3.

  • Northeastern Team Olympics! The Northeastern team is participating in the Olympics!  No, we do not have our students skiing down the stairwell or speed skating to the cafe, but we do have our students getting excited about the international event as well as learning.  Each student has been assigned a country who consistently does well in the Winter Olympics.  They have had to learn facts about the country such as the location, the language spoken, the main industry there and have decorated their country's flag.  For the last few weeks, they are earning gold, silver, and bronze "medals" for their country by doing well on tests, completing Science lab tasks effectively and solving team challenges.  As part of the Olympic fun, the ...
